간호대학생과 일반대학생의 정신질환에 대한 인식, 태도, 지식 비교

본 연구는 간호대학생과 일반대학생의 정신질환에 대한 인식, 태도, 지식에 대해 비교하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구 대상은 K 대학에 재학 중인 학생을 중심으로 눈덩이 표집과 네트워크 표집 방법으로 모집하였고, 간호대학생 71명, 일반대학생 80명으로 총 151명이었다. 자료 수집은 2022년 4월 4일에서 2022년 4월 15일까지였고, 수집된 자료는 x² 검정, t-test, 피어슨 상관관계, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 간호대학생과 일반대학생의 정신질환에 대한 인식은 하위 영역 중 위험에서 유의한 차이를 보였고, 간호대학생과 일반대학생의 정신질환에 대한 지식은 원인, 증상, 치료에서 모두 유의한 차이를 보였다. 간호대학생과 일반대학생의 정신질환에 대한 인식, 태도, 지식 간 상관관계를 분석한 결과 정신질환에 대한 인식은 정신질환에 대한 태도, 정신질환에 대한 지식과 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 정신질환에 대한 태도는 정신질환에 대한 지식과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 정신질환에 대한 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 정신질환에 대한 태도가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 간호대학생을 포함한 대학생들의 정신질환에 대한 올바른 인식과 태도, 지식의 향상을 위한 교육, 프로그램 개발, 정신 관련 지역사회 전문기관과 연계한 정신건강 캠페인이 필요할 것으로 본다.
Abstract
This study is a descriptive research study to compare the recognition, attitude, and knowledge of mental illness among nursing students and general college students. The subjects of this study were recruited through snowball sampling and network sampling, centered on students enrolled in K University, and 71 nursing students and 80 general college students were recruited for a total of 151. Data collection was from April 04, 2022 to April 15, 2022, and the collected data were analyzed by x² square test, t-test, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, the recognition of mental illness among nursing students and general college students showed a significant difference in risk among the sub-domains, and the knowledge about mental illness of nursing students and general college students showed a significant difference in cause, symptom, and treatment. As a result of analyzing the correlation between the recognition, attitude, and knowledge of mental illness among nursing students and general college students, it was found that the recognition of mental illness had a significant negative correlation with attitude toward and knowledge of mental illness. Attitude toward mental illness was confirmed to have a significant positive correlation with knowledge about mental illness. Factors affecting the recognition of mental illness were found to be influenced by attitude toward mental illness. Education, program development, and mental health campaigns in connection with community specialized institutions related to mental health are needed to improve the correct recognition, attitude, and knowledge of mental illness among college students, including nursing students.
