사이키델릭의 미적 특성과 추상적 표현기법을 융합한 아트메이크업 디자인 연구

As the energy of fluorescence has affected the field of art through science with intense light and fascinating color, giving birth to psychedelia. Then, it has been used as diverse materials in various fields. The goal of this study is to create new art makeup design and further expand its artistic sphere in exhibition through the pictorial expression of fantastic fluorescent colors and non-objective forms with abstract techniques by converging the aesthetic characteristics of psychedelia with abstract expression techniques. For this, first, concerning a literature review, the concept and aesthetic characteristics of psychedelia, abstract expression techniques and art makeup types & techniques were examined through related data such as academic papers. In addition, psychedelia-based art makeup applications were analyzed through the Internet media. Second, in empirical research, the aesthetic images of psychedelia were produced through abstract expression after applying fluorescent expressions and UV-emitting techniques. To derive results, a total of 4 works were created on art masks in which materials are easily accessible. Then, the results found the followings: First, the unique esthetic characteristics of psychedelia were enough as the factors needed to create new design. Furthermore, they were reinterpretable in modern design. Second, the abstract expression techniques 'dripping' and 'tachisme' were able to derive improvisationally expressed unique shapes. In addition, the accidental effects of such abstract expressions have enabled the production of new creative design. Third, the use of art masks was able to make up for the weakness of art makeup (i.e., one-time use). In addition, they are available for exhibition. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it suggested a possibility of new design which converged psychedelia, using the unique dripping techniques. It is hoped that creative design would be continuously produced.
