우리나라 컨테이너터미널의 ESG 경영전략에 관한 연구

Recently, ESG activities have served as an important evaluation indicator in the Korea shipping and port industries. In this study, in order to revitalize ESG activities and strengthen competitiveness, the current status of ESG reports(sustainability reports) were identified, and IPA analysis was conducted through interviews with environmental managers. The issuance rate of ESG reports by domestic container port operators is 20%, of which the issuance rate of GTO port operators entering Korea is 100% at the group level. The issuance rate of ESG report by port authorities in Korea is 100%, and when analyzed based on certification, the focus areas are in the order of S(Safety), E(environment), and G(governance). After IPA analysis, SWOT analysis strategy is to respond to related regulations by collecting various opinions by forming a consultative committee and strengthening ESG activities in ports through incentive support. Just as many ISO certifications have been obtained by emphasizing the importance of safety, it is necessary to pay attention to the areas of governance, such as anti-corruption and transparent management, so that ESG can be integrated. As a response strategy for domestic ports, we respond to environmental regulations by building an eco-friendly image of the port by collecting various opinions through the formation of a consultative body with ESG-related operators, shipping companies, and eco-friendly technology development companies, and by supporting incentives. Just as many ISO certifications were obtained by emphasizing the importance of safety, we pay much attention to eco-friendly and transparent management so that ESG-integrated development can foster an advanced ESG culture.
