디자인 현상학적 방법론 - 암묵적 앎과 디자인 패러다임 -

If the objects (phenomenon) come to mind first and then draw, then the drawing and its recognition are ‘deduction’, and when the objects (phenomenon) emerge later while drawing, the drawing and its recognition are ‘induction’. ‘Drawing and its recognition’ is the perceptual experience of the object (phenomenon), the frame of this consciousness experience is the nested memory mechanism, and the design phenomenological methodology. We tacitly know that the emblem is drawn and recognized within the framework. This tacit knowledge is a shifted design paradigm. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand the design phenomenological methodology composed of cognitive science layers as the tacit knowledge of design and to confirm that the design paradigm has been shifted into cognitive scientific knowledge. Everything drawn is the object of research, but the Olympic emblem drawn as a national project is the scope of research. The way to achieve the objective is to analyze the object of study through the nested memory mechanism. In other words, the purpose of the research is achieved in the process of analyzing the research object. The conclusion is as follows. After going through a period of upheaval from 1988 to 1992, the design paradigm shifted with the emblem of the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics as a starting point. The occasion to transform is cognitive science. The design paradigm has already been transformed into cognitive scientific knowledge. Cognitive scientific knowledge is the tacit knowledge of design acquired without being aware of it. It is time to systematically and rationally criticize whether the explicit knowledge of design currently being taught has excluded tacit knowledge. This is because cognitive science has already explained the essence of design.
