This study began with the reflection that the characteristics of sustainable ecological design, a major issue of modern design, started at the limit design itself. Because modern design is not only a problem of the environment but also a threat to human life by using non-ecological materials such as plastic due to cheaper prices, mass production, and convenience. So what, it is presented a sustainable ecological design perspective. Sustainable ecological design is a concept in which designers' sense of social responsibility for the relationship between humans, the environment, and products has expanded throughout society. However, I think the meaning of sustainable ecological design is doubled when it is achieved through products that can be used in daily life, not through campaigns or projects. So what I noticed was Muji Design. Because, Muji Design is evaluated as producing products according to the sustainable ecological design perspective of daily products. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to reveal the sustainable ecological design characteristics of Muji Design and the creative design process applied thereto. As a result, Muji Design was found that the characteristics of sustainable ecological design can be divided into 1) natural adaptation, 2) customer participation and ecological environment reflection, 3) design identity and diversity, and 4) sharing and re-design. In addition, Muji Design found that it is carrying out creative design processes such as 'observation' programs that examine customer experiences in the process of product planning and production.
