피의자 신상공개 여부의 결정 요인에 관한 연구: 온라인 여론 데이터 분석을 중심으로

This study aims to examine the implementation status and problems of the disclosure of suspect’s personal information. For this, the case of the decision to disclose the personal information was summarized from the time of introduction of the system to the present and the previous studies dealing with the problems of the system were also examined. And researchers pointed out legal issues related to the Constitution and Criminal Law and implementation issues such as inconsistent disclosure decisions, and especially said the risk of arbitrary decision of investigative agencies affected by public opinion and abuse of the system. Accordingly, this study collected and analyzed the articles and comments on the internet portal(Naver) by web crawling in order to empirically reveal the relationship between public opinion and the decision on disclosure. As a result of comparing and analyzing the average number of articles and comments on the cases that were decided to be released on the personal information and the cases that were not, there was a significant difference in the number of comments statistically. In turn, we added suggestions to compensate for the problems of the system.
