연령이 법의식에 미치는 영향 : 준법지표와 차별금지지표의 비교를 중심으로

This study attempted to confirm whether age affects legal consciousness. To achieve this goal, we examined whether there was a significant correlation between age and legal consciousness, and verified whether increasing age had a significant effect on legal consciousness. Furthermore, based on the analysis results, we tried to derive implications that differences in legal consciousness according to age may have a certain effect on intergenerational conflict or social integration. In order to analyze the legal consciousness, we used the law-abiding consciousness and the anti-discrimination consciousness as indicators. For the survey, The Korea Legislation Research Institute's ‘the 2019 Survey of the Legal Consciousness of the Korean People’ was used. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that age had a positive (+) effect on personal law-abiding attitudes and willingness to law-abiding with damages, and a negative (-) effect on legal knowledge and disobedience attitudes in law-abiding indicators. In addition, it was verified that age had a positive (+) significant effect on formal equality perception, and a negative (-) effect on discrimination empathy for men, discrimination empathy for women, discrimination empathy for social minorities, and attitudes toward the affirmative action in the anti-discrimination indicator. Through this, it was suggested that the higher the age, the higher the sacrifice for law-abiding or the public interest, and the lower the age, the more sensitive to discrimination, favorable to the affirmative action, and likely to give up law-abiding.
