20대 대선의 이대남 현상에 대한 규범이론적 접근

This thesis attempts a normative theoretical approach to the phenomenon of men in their 20s(Yidaenam), which emerged as a major issue in the 20th Korean presidential election. When conflicts are structured and prolonged, cleavages form. The cleavages that have exerted a strong influence in Korean politics are regional, ideological, generational, and stratum/class cleavages. However, research on cleavages in political science has mainly been conducted in ‘historical sociological research’ and ‘election analysis’. However, historical sociology has attempted a historical and consequential approach to the relationship between cleavages and party systems, whereas election analysis has analyzed the effects of cleavages on election results through correlation analysis. It has been absent from a critical approach to the problems of inequality, unfairness, and injustice caused by regional, ideological, generational, and stratum/class cleavages in Korean politics and seeking alternatives from the normative dimension. Therefore, this thesis examines whether the conflict between Yidaenam and Yidaenyeo can be established as a new gender cleavage or generational cleavage, and tries to find a way to resolve the conflict between Yidaenam and Yidaenyeo. This thesis argues that the problems of inequality, unfairness, and injustice caused by existing cleavages and conflicts between men and women could be resolved by the people and politicians going through a democratic deliberation process, making public norms, enacting and obeying them.
