사회복지사의 경력계획과 경력 몰입의 관계에서 무형식 학습 활동의 매개효과
The Mediating Effect of Informal Learning Activity on Relationship between Career Planning and Career Commitment for Social Workers

본 연구의 목적은 사회복지사가 인식하는 경력계획, 경력 몰입과 무형식 학습 활동의 수준을 조사하고, 경력계획과 경력 몰입의 관계에서 무형식 학습 활동의 매개효과를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Steer(1976)의 경력계획, Blau(1988)의 경력 몰입, Choi(2009)의 무형식 학습 활동 측정도구를 활용하여 인천광역시에서 근무하고 있는 사회복지사 450명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 총 430부가 회수되었으며(회수율: 95.5%), 불성실한 응답으로 판단되는 4부를 제외하여 총 426부를 분석 자료로 활용하였다(99.1%). 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회복지사의 경력계획, 경력 몰입, 무형식 학습 활동은 상호 정(+)의 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회복지사의 경력계획은 경력 몰입에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회복지사의 무형식 학습 활동은 경력계획과 경력 몰입의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석 결과를 바탕으로 사회복지사의 경력계획, 경력 몰입, 무형식 학습 활동에 대한 이론적 논의와 사회복지사의 경력개발 효과성 증대를 위한 실천적 시사점을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to examine the mediating effects of informal learning activity on the relationship between career planning and career commitment for social workers. For doing so, this study used a survey instrument of career planning scale(Steer, 1976), informal learning activity instrument(Choi, 2011), and career commitment scale(Blau, 1988). Survey respondents were social workers in Incheon, in which 426 out of 450 were used for testing hypotheses. The results of this study were the following: First, career planning had positive effect on career commitment for social workers. Second, informal learning activity had mediating effects between career planning and career commitment for social workers. Based upon these results, several implications were then suggested discussed for improving career development effectiveness for social workers.
