텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용하여 감염병에 따른 호텔산업 이슈에 관한 연구: 사스, 신종플루, 메르스, 코로나19를 중심으로
A Study on Analysis of Hotel industry Issue in Accordance with Pandemic Influenza Using Text Mining Method: Focusing on SARS, H1N1 influenza, MERS, and COVID-19

감염병으로 이동에 제한이 가해지고 관광업계 및 호텔업계의 어려움이 높아지고 있다. 이는 함께 모이는 장소에 대한 기피 현상이 뚜렷하게 나타나면서 호텔에 대한 이용객 감소가 나타난 것이다. 그러나 감염병을 극복하기 위해 호텔은 새로운 프로모션과 상품을 개발하는 등 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이는 감염병이 산업에 긍정적⋅부정적 영향을 모두 미치는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 국내에서 발생한 주요 감염병인 사스, 신종플루, 메르스, 코로나19가 호텔산업에 미치는 이슈를 파악하고자 텍스트 마이닝 분석을 실시하였 다. 데이터 수집결과 총 19,043개가 수집되었으며, 이중 사스 3,276개, 신종플루 4,949개, 메르스 4,994개 코로나19 5,824개가 수집되었다. 네트워크 분석결과 총밀도는 사스 2.036, 신종플루 1.630, 메르스 2.028, 코로나19 1.526으로 나타났다. CONCOR(convergent correlations) 분석을 실시한 결과 사스 6그룹, 신종플 루, 5그룹, 메르스 5그룹, 코로나19 6그룹으로 구분되었다. 주요 키워드를 살펴보면 제주 호텔에 대한 관심이 모든 감염병에서 나타났는데, 즉, 감염병이 발생하게 되면 해외여행이 어렵게 되고 이로 인해 국내 제주 도와 제주에 위치한 호텔에 대한 높은 관심이 결과에 반영된 것으로 해석된다. 또 단체 여행객이 줄고 가족 과 개별 여행객 위주로 이용객이 변화함에 따라 호텔은 변화하는 이용객 특성에 맞는 상품과 프로모션을 진행이 감염병 확산 단계에 맞게 준비되어야 한다.
Abstract
Movement limitations from infectious diseases made the travel industry and hotels difficult. This resulted from the remarkable avoidance of popular places for citizens and related to the decline of hotel guests. However, hotels tried to overcome infectious diseases such as developingnew promotion items, and so on. This can be interpreted that infectious diseases affected the industry, positively and negatively. Thus, this study analyzed the influence and issue of SARS, H1N1 influenza, MERS, and COVID-19 that are cate- gorized as social disasters to the hotel industry using the text mining method. As for the data collection, a total of 19,043 data was collected, 3,276 from SARS, 4,949 from H1N1 influenza, 4,994 from MERS, and 5,824 from COVID-19. As for the result of network analysis, the total density of SARS was 2.036, H1N1 influenza was 1.630, MERS was 2,028, and COVID-19 was 1.526. As the result of CONCOR analysis, SARS and COVID-19 were group 6, H1N1 influenza and MERS were group 5. Analyzing the main key- words, interests in the hotels in Jeju appeared in every infectious disease. This means overseas trips become difficult upon the outbreak of the infectious disease, resulting in higher interest level in Jeju Island and hotels located in Jeju. In addition, hotels should prepare items and promotions to meet the characteristics of changed guests timely depending on the progress of the infectious disease as the guest profiles are changed mainly from group tourists into families or individuals.
