코로나19 발생 이전과 이후의 관광 활동 참여 패턴 분석: 경기도를 사례로

This research compared the participation patterns of tourism activities by domestic tourists who have visited Gyeonggi province in South Korea before and after the outbreak of COVID-19 using social network analysis. The raw data of the 2019 and 2021 Gyeonggi province tourism survey was applied. Of various social network analysis techniques, this study conducted density analysis, QAP correlation analysis, and normalized eigenvector centrality. Results disclosed differences in the number of links and density score between the two tourism activity networks. The before COVID-19 outbreak network and the after COVID-19 outbreak network, were lowly similar, but the similarities were statistically significant. Also, as a result of the analysis of co-participation in tourism activities, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the pattern of participation in tourism activities depending on the outbreak of COVID-19. River/sea/moun- tain/lake and culture/history experiences were major tourist activities in the before COVID-19 outbreak net- work, on the other hand, museum/art museum, a unique experiences were major tourist activities in the after COVID-19 outbreak network. Through these results, this research suggested academic implications re- lated to tourism activity research as well as practical implications for the improvement of tourism competition in Gyeonggi province. In addition, future research directions are provided in the conclusion.
