자기효능감 변화 궤적과 원인 분석: 잠재 성장 모형의 적용

본 연구는 청소년기부터 성인기로 이행함에 있어 자기효능감의 변화 궤적이 어떠하고, 변화양상에 영향을 미치는 선행요인을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 잠재 성장 모형(Latent Growth Model)을 적용하여 한국교육고용패널조사(KEEPⅡ) 1∼4차 년도 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 청소년기에서 성인기로 이행함에 있어서 자기효능감은 감소하는 추세를 보이다가 완화되는 비선형 변화를 나타냈다. 수행접근 목표는 자기효능감 초기치에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 일차 변화율에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 이차 변화율에서는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 수행회피 목표는 자기효능감 초기치에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 일차 변화율에서 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 이차 변화율에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 마지막으로 외적 조절동기는 자기효능감 초기치에 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 일차 변화율과 이차 변화율에는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시사점에 대해서 논의하였다.
Abstract
The present study aims to identify the trajectory of changes in self-efficacy in the transition from adolescence to adulthood, and the antecedents influencing the pattern of change. We analyzed the Korea Educational Employment and Employment Panel Survey data by applying the latent growth model. Self-efficacy showed a nonlinear change that decreased and then alleviated over time. The performance-approach goal had a positive effect on the initial value of self-efficacy, a negative effect on the slope, and had no statistically significant effect on the quadratic slope. The performance-avoidance goal had a negative effect on the initial value of self-efficacy, a positive effect on the slope, and no statistically significant effect on the quadratic slope. Finally, external regulation had a negative effect on the initial value of self-efficacy, and no statistically significant effect on the slope and quadratic slope. Implications were discussed based on the findings.
