간호대학생의 성인간호학 가상 시뮬레이션 실습 효과 및 경험: 혼합연구방법
Effects and Nursing Students’ Experience of Virtual Simulation in Adult Nursing Practicum: Mixed Methods Research

본 연구는 성인간호학실습에서 가상 시뮬레이션 실습교육을 적용하여 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향, 간호과정 자신감과 학습 만족도에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위해서 단일군 전·후 설계(one group pre-post test design)의 양적연구와 가상 시뮬레이션 실습 경험을 탐색하기 위해서 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(focus group interview)를 통한 질적연구 방법을 병용한 혼합 연구이다. 연구 참여자는 M대학교 재학 중인 간호학과 4학년 학생으로 성인간호학실습으로 가상 시뮬레이션 실습을 경험한 자로, 양적 표본 수는 20명, 질적 표본 수는 15명이었다. 자료수집은 2021년 2월부터 4월까지 실시하였으며, 수집된 양적 자료 분석은 기술적 통계와 paired t-test로, 질적 자료는 전통적 내용분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 성인간호학 가상 시뮬레이션 실습 후 비판적 사고성향과 간호과정 자신감은 실습 전 보다 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 가상 시뮬레이션 실습 후 학습 만족도는 만족 수준 이상을 나타냈다. 가상 시뮬레이션 실습을 경험한 학생들의 인터뷰 내용분석 결과, 가상 시뮬레이션 실습에 대한 ‘긍정적·부정적 느낌의 혼재’, ‘확장과 발견의 기쁨‘, ’자기조절 학습 도우미를 사귐‘의 3개의 범주와 16개의 하위범주가 도출되었으며, 추가로 효과적인 가상 시뮬레이션 활용 방안에서는 7개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구결과에 근거하여, 가상시뮬레이션 실습 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 임상실습과 병행하여 활용하는 것이 바람직하며, 우리나라 현황을 반영한 학습자 중심의 가상시뮬레이션 모듈을 다양하게 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 검증할 필요가 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to evaluate the effects of virtual simulation practice on the critical thinking, nursing process confidence, and learning satisfaction of nursing students in adult nursing practice, and to explore the experience on virtual simulation practice. This study was a mixed study conducted a quantitative study of one group pre-post test design and a qualitative research through focus group interview. The study participants were recruited from 4th grade students of a nursing department enrolled in M University, experienced virtual simulation practice. The number of quantitative samples was 20 and the number of qualitative samples was 15. Data collection was conducted from February to April 2021. For quantitative data analysis, descriptive statistics and paired t-test were used, and for qualitative data, traditional content analysis method was used. As a result of this study, both critical thinking disposition and nursing process confidence increased statistically significantly after practice in adult nursing virtual simulation. After the virtual simulation practice, the degree of learning satisfaction was higher level. The contents of analyzing the interview consisted of 3 categories and 16 subcategories. In addition, 7 subcategories were derived for effective virtual simulation application methods. The categories were 'mixed positive and negative feelings', 'joy of expansion and discovery', and 'Find a self-regulating learning assistant‘. In order to increase the effectiveness of virtual simulation practice education, it is recommended to use it in combination with clinical practice, and it will be necessary to verify the effectiveness by developing and applying various learner-centered virtual simulation modules reflecting the current situation in Korea.
