4차 산업혁명 기업의 R&D 역량이 혁신성과에 미치는 영향: R&D 투자와 대표자 기술역량의 매개효과를 중심으로
The Effect of Fourth Industrial Revolution Companies’ R&D Capabilities on Their Innovation Performance: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of R&D Investment and the CEOs’ Technological Capabilities

본 연구는 2017년부터 2019년까지 기술보증기금에서 기술평가를 통하여 보증 지원한 중소기업 중 1,486개 기업 을 대상으로 4차 산업혁명 기업의 R&D 역량이 혁신성과에 어떤 성공 요인이 있는지를 분석하고 R&D 투자와 대표자 기술 역량이 혁신성과에 매개효과가 있는지를 Amos를 이용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석은 기초 통계량 분석, 상관 관계 분석, 확인적 요인 분석, 경로분석을 실시하였다. 또한 통제변수를 이용하여 분석도 실시 하였다. 분석결과, 일반적인 가설 12개와 매개효과 가설 8개를 각각 가설을 설정하였다. 일반적인 가설 12개 중 기술혁신역량 과 수익성, R&D 투자와 수익성의 관계인 가설만 기각되었다. 나머지 가설은 채택되었다. 매개효과 가설은 팬텀변수 P12와 P16 가설만 기각되었고, 나머지 가설은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명 기 업은 적정한 R&D 투자가 매개효과가 있는 것으로 분석되어 4차 산업혁명기업의 R&D 투자의 중요성을 보여주는 정 책적 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study examined 1,486 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that were subjected to a technology evaluation by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation from 2017 to 2019 to analyze the positive effects of the fourth industrial revolution on companies’ R&D capabilities and their innovation performance. Furthermore, it also performed an Amos-based investigation on the mediating effects of R&D investment and the CEOs’ technological capabilities on the companies’ innovation performance. For data processing, basic statistics, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and path analysis were performed. In addition, control variables were utilized for the analyses. Among general hypotheses, only the hypotheses on the correlation between technological innovation capabilities and profitability, and between R&D investment and profitability were rejected. The remaining hypotheses were accepted. Confirming the mediating effect of appropriate R&D investment on fourth industrial revolution companies, this study provides policy implications suggesting that it is critical for companies in the fourth industrial revolution to invest in R&D.
