초록
ESG management refers to management activities in which companies take the lead in environmental protection, engage in social contribution activities such as support for the socially disadvantaged, and strictly comply with laws and ethics. This paper checked the current status of ESG management applied in the air transport sector and checked related legislative activities, reflecting the situation in which companies already issue and promote sustainability reports every year. It was compared and reviewed what issues related to environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance structure were being pursued by airlines and airport corporations. It studied the legislative progress of the Republic of Korea and the legislative status of other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom related to the reduction and offset of air transport emissions represented by ICAO CORSIA. In addition, legislative trends and directions were studied to reduce noise damage to residents near the airport. Regarding social responsibility, we studied the regulations related to refund of tickets that conflict with the e-commerce law and confirmed the need for additional legislation to eliminate the possibility of misunderstanding and protect consumers. Finally, in connection with the international expansion of aviation liberalization and the conclusion of multilateral aviation agreements, laws and regulations of foreigners' ownership and control of airlines were confirmed and developmental alternatives were presented.
