순환경제 실현과 소비자 권리 강화를 위한 법제 개선방안 - 프랑스의 수리가능성지수표시 사례를 중심으로 -

In the era of climate crisis, the transition to a circular economy has emerged as a necessary task, not an option. In this regard, France’s repairability index labeling system is in the same direction as the EU’s policy, which is the most active in implementing a circular economy, and is in line with the current government’s private-led economic growth policy. Because this system secures consumer sovereignty by providing information such as product durability and repairability so that consumers can choose sustainable consumption at the time of purchase and it can lead to voluntary compliance with product circulation and sustainability of businesses who want to be chosen by consumers. Therefore France’s Repairability index labeling system is a good example that can give implications to Korea, which is seeking ways to participate in the transformation of the global circular economy and to ensure consumer participation and rights. For this reason, this paper introduces France’s Repairability index labeling system and proposes a legislative plan that can be properly operated in Korea.
