모빌리티 서비스 이용의향의 영향요인 연구: 서비스 혁신과 통합기술수용모형을 중심으로

모빌리티 서비스의 중요성이 점차 증가되고 있는 시점임에도 불구하고 모빌리티 서비스 관련 연구는 많지않은 실정이다. 또한 선행연구들 대부분이 모빌리티 디바이스의 수용 요인이나 서비스 이용 시의 문제점과안전에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구는 Den Hertog(2000)의 서비스혁신 이론과 Venkatesh 등(2003)의통합기술수용이론을 토대로 모빌리티 서비스의 이용의향에 직·간접적으로 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하기위한 연구모형을 설정하였다. 전국에서 수집된 336부의 설문지를 분석하여 독립변수인 서비스혁신과 네트워크외부성이 매개변수인 성과기대, 노력기대, 촉진조건 및 사회적 영향을 통해 종속변수인 이용의향에 미치는영향을 검증하였으며, 추가적으로 이용경험이 매개변수와 종속변수 사이에서 갖는 조절효과도 검증하였다. 본 연구의 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서비스 혁신이 통합기술수용이론의 4대 변수 중 성과기대, 노력기대 및 촉진조건에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 네트워크 외부성은 사회적 영향에 유의한영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 통합기술수용이론의 4대 변수 중 성과기대와 사회적 영향만이이용의향에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 이용경험의 조절효과를 검증한 결과 모빌리티서비스에 대한 이용경험이 있는 집단에서만 성과기대가 이용의향에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 기술수용 연구와 모빌리티 서비스 활성화에 유용한 시사점을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
Although the importance of mobility services is rapidly increasing, there have not been many studies related to mobility services. In addition, most previous studies have focused on the factors influencing acceptance of mobility devices, and problems and safety issues of mobility services encountered when using them. This study analyzed direct and indirect factors affecting the intention to use of mobility services based mainly on Den Hertog’s (2000) service innovation theory and Venkatesh et al.’s (2003) Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Using 336 questionnaires collected from all over the country, the influence of service innovation and network externality on performance expectation, effort expectation, facilitating conditions, and social influence as well as the influence of four major variables of UTAUT on the intention to use were analyzed. Besides, the moderation effect of user experience on the intention to use was also studied. The findings of this study are as follows: First, Service innovation was found to affect significantly performance expectation, effort expectation and facilitating conditions of UTAUT. On the other hand, network externality was found to have significant impact on social influence of UTAUT. Second, among the four major variables of UTAUT, only performance expectation and social influence had significant influence on the intention to use of mobility services. And, third, the prior user experience of mobility services was analyzed to play a moderating role in the relationship between performance expectation and the intention to use. The results of this study have both theoretical and practical implications. First, antecedents such as service innovation and network externality were identified affecting the four major variables of UTAUT. According to service innovation theory, in order to increase the adoption rate of mobility services it is very important to expand differentiated services, develop new service delivery methods, improve services based on customer feedback, and build diverse channels for communication with customers. Second, in the case of mobility services, only performance expectation and social influence had significant influence on the intention to use. From this result it is inferred that users expect usefulness and efficiency to some degree when adopting mobility services. Thus, it is needed to step up public relations and make an effort to enhance utility of mobility services in the future. Third, it was found that when user experience was higher, the relationship between performance expectation and the intention to use was stronger. This result indicates the importance of providing experience opportunities to potential users of mobility services. These findings are expected to offer significant implications for researchers as well as policymakers. At the last part, the limitations of the study and future research directions were discussed.
