This study was conducted for the purpose of phenomenological exploration of sports-science policy issues that are trying to converge with sports in earnest after the 4th industrial revolution. To achieve the research purpose, domestic sports science and technology related policy news was collected, and the collection period was set from 2016 when the 4th industrial revolution paradigm arrived to the present. In addition, it was divided into 1st (2016-2018) and 2nd (2019-2022 July), based on the mid- to long-term development plan of the sports industry announced in January 2019. As a result of the analysis, issues related to the convergence of virtual/augmented reality, artificial intelligence, wearable, and robot technologies, which have emerged as core technologies after the 4th sports industrial revolution in both the first and second phases, can be identified. In addition, since the launch of the mid- to long-term development plan for the sports industry, the new deal policy and the specialized data-oriented direction of utilization have been suggested, which is interpreted to mean that the concept of big data, which appeared in early 2010, is converging into an evolved form in the field of sports.
