지속가능경영노력과 SMCS가 지속가능성과에 미치는 영향

초록
[연구목적]본 연구에서는 지속가능경영노력과 SMCS의 이용이 지속가능성과인 경제적 성과, 환경적 성과, 사회적 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하고자 하였다. [연구방법]매출액 기준 국내 400대 상장 제조기업을 대상으로 실증연구를 수행하였으며, 실증분석에는 설문조사를 통해 1차 데이터를 수집하여 PLS 구조방정식 모형을 이용하한 가설을 검증하였다. [연구결과]지속가능경영노력은 지속가능성과에 지속가능경영노력은 SMCS에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 SMCS의 신념시스템 이용은 사회적 성과에, 경계시스템은 경제적 성과, 환경적 성과에 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 진단적 통제의 이용은 경제적 성과에, 상호작용적 통제는 환경적 성과에 유의한 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. [연구의 시사점]지속가능경영노력을 하는 기업은 경제적 성과 뿐만 아니라 사회적 성과와 환경적 성과를 모두 창출하게 되며, 지속가능경영노력을 하는 기업은 재무목표 달성뿐만 아니라 환경, 사회적 책임과 같은 관련 개념을 광범위하게 포함하는 프로세스와 그 활동을 조정할 수 있는 SMCS가 필요함을 보여준다. 또한 이러한 SMCS를 지속가능성 측면에서 신념시스템, 경계시스템, 진단적 통제, 그리고 상호작용적 통제를 잘 구축 및 이용해야 더욱 효과적으로 지속가능성과를 달성할 수 있음을 시사한다.
Abstract
[Purpose]This study attempted to analyze how sustainable management efforts and the use of SMCS affect the economic, environmental, and social performance of sustainability. [Methodology]This study conducted an empirical study on the top 400 listed manufacturing companies in Korea based on sales, and in the empirical analysis, primary data were collected through a survey and hypotheses were verified using a PLS structural equation model. [Findings]It was found that sustainable management activities had a significant effect on sustainability and sustainable management activities had a significant effect on SMCS. In addition, the use of the belief system was found to have a significant effect on social performance, and the boundary system was found to have a significant effect on economic performance and environmental performance. [Implications]Companies pursuing sustainable management activities create not only economic performance but also social and environmental performance, and companies engaged in sustainable management need SMCS to coordinate their activities and processes that broadly include related concepts such as environment and social responsibility. In addition, belief systems, boundary systems, and diagnostic pain in terms of sustainability of these SMCS.
