지속가능한 디자인의 특징을 통한 융합 디자인 교육에 관한 연구 - 「휴먼시티디자인어워드」를 중심으로 -

This study first analyzed the characteristics of ‘Sustainable Design’ through the winning works of the 「Human City Design Awards (HCDA)」, an international design contest. After that, the purpose of the study was to consider the conditions for sustainable convergent design education. It also started with the aim of examining what is needed to become a successful Sustainable Design education. The development of sustainable concepts was used in the 1987 ‘Brundtland Report’ and became the "Sustainable Development Goals", which led to the continued development of modern and future generations. Thus, it was found to be a product of sharing and solidarity with a global sense of crisis to prevent human inequality and destruction and depletion of the natural environment. As a result of the analysis, first, the voluntary participation of residents is increasing as the biggest characteristic of HCDA. Representatively, "Dream House," which won the grand prize in 2021, is a good example. Second, from the evaluation index, it can be seen that Sustainable Design aims to revitalize the region and improve the residential environment. Third, I found that education of Sustainable Design is important. In other words, this is because semi-natural-friendly products are created by ignorance rather than designer indifference. So Sustainable Design should be a designed product, not a project. Therefore, in this study, it was found that Sustainable Design can be a truly Sustainable Design only when social responsibility for the ecosystem can be taken by using it in daily life as a designed product.
