ESG와 예배: 지키고 나누고 섬기는 예배

In contemporary society, interest in realizing the value of ESG is increasing. “ESG” is a term derived from business administration and is a new word coined after the alphabetical acronyms E, S, and G, which are three important values that a company must protect externally for profit creation for sustainable growth. E is derived from the word environment, S is derived from the word social, and G is derived from the word governance, which means rational governance. ESG is emerging as an important issue for corporate management and the entire society in which we live. Since many companies have put forward management that advocates ESG values, the process of learning and practicing these values is also important in the curriculum for employment. This paper studies how Christianity can establish these values through worship. While studying this paper, I came to the following conclusion: Christian worship pursues ESG values that realize the Kingdom of God in this land and a passage toward the Kingdom of God. This study was conducted in the following order. Section I briefly describes the introduction of the thesis and the contents of the thesis. Section II presents previous studies, research hypotheses, and major methodologies in this field. Section III examines the relationship between ESG and Christianity. In this section, I deal with the claims of the JPIC movement emerged at the end of the 20th century. In addition, the similarities of ESG values were compared to JPIC issues, arguing for its connection to Christianity. Section IV describes methods and examples for constructing Christian worship services that pursue ESG values. In particular, worship that applies the E-value to protect the environment, the S-value to realize social justice, and the G-value to emphasize a fine structure, and methods for this were presented. Finally, section V summarizes the overall paper and additional comments on ESG worship.
