고피인용논문(HCP)의 과학계량학적 분석을 통한 국제공동연구 활성화 방안 연구: 코로나19를 중심으로
Study on the Activation of International Collaborative Research through Scientometric Analysis of Highly Cited Papers: Based on COVID-19 case

본 연구는 최근 3개년(2019-2021)간 코로나19 관련 세계 상위 1% 고피인용논문인 HCP(Highly Cited Paper)를 대상으로 국가, 기관, 연구자, 연구분야, 학술지 및 연구비 지원기관 등의 특징을 과학계량학적으로 분석하고, 주요 요 인별로 국제공동연구 및 오픈액세스(Open Access) 현황과 향후 과제를 탐색하고자 하였다. 첫째, 코로나19 관련 HCP를 보유한 연구주체별 특성, 공동연구 및 오픈액세스 현황을 살펴보고 시사점을 도출하였다. 둘째, ESI 22개 연 구분야별 분석결과, 임상의학, 사회과학 및 면역학 순으로 가장 많은 HCP를 생산하고 있었다. 셋째, 학술지 분석을 통해 코로나19 관련 오픈액세스 학술지 현황과 주요국별 국제공동연구에 의한 HCP 출판 학술지 등을 도출하였다. 넷째, 연구비 지원기관을 분석하여 연구주체가 안정적 연구재원을 확보하는데 기여할 시사점을 제시하였다. 하지만 한국의 경우 코로나19 연구에서 세계 상위권과는 큰 차이가 있었다. 따라서 코로나19와 관련된 선도 연구주체와 활발한 국제 공동연구 강화, 글로벌 오픈액세스 연대 동참 및 국내 연구주체의 수월성 제고를 위한 노력이 지속되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The present study was conducted with the world’s mostly highly (top 1%) cited papers (HCPs) on COVID-19 published in the most recent 3 years (2019-2021); the object was to perform scientometric analysis of their features, including countries, affiliations, researchers, research areas, journals, and funding institutions, so as to investigate the status of international collaborative research and open access with respect to the individual factors, and to explore future tasks. Korea was significantly different from the world’s top-ranked countries in all aspects, including total number of HCPs published by individual research agents and amounts of research funding. Therefore, efforts should be continuously made to facilitate international collaborative research with leading research agents on COVID-19, participate in global open access solidarity, and improve the excellence of research agents in Korea.
