In order for Korean cosmetics to secure sustainable competitiveness in the global market, innovative products that have improved the quality of cosmetics and improved convenience for consumers are needed. Cosmetic containers with new functions are an important factor to increase loyalty to Korean cosmetics and secure market competitiveness. In order to develop technologies that correspond to consumer trends, it is required to develop new functional cosmetics containers that can preemptively lead the cosmetics market. Therefore, this study proposes a patent-design convergence process for patenting cosmetics invention design to derive creative ideas and effectively develop new functions of cosmetics containers to develop differentiated technologies to be applied to cosmetics containers. In this study, the idea of problem-solving was derived by deriving the invention principle that is frequently used in cosmetics container technology and inducing expansion of thinking in developing creative ideas Patent data for cosmetic container technology targeted 3,297 patents in Korea, Japan, and China that were disclosed or registered by September 2021. It is expected to be used as an effective data for developing new functional containers that can enhance the competitiveness of companies by coming up with ideas for solving problems that are frequently used in the patent-design convergence process for patent and design.
