특허 빅데이터 분석을 통한 스포츠-가상현실 기술 모니터링 : LDA 알고리즘 기반 토픽 모델링의 활용

연구목적 스포츠-가상현실의 융합은 새로운 방식의 스포츠 참여와 비즈니스를 위한 새로운 전환점이 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 스포츠-가상현실 특허 토픽모델링과 추세분석을 진행하여 기술의 흐름과 현재 향후 유망분야를 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 국내 스포츠-가상현실 특허수집을 위해 특허청에서 운영하는 국내 특허포털인 키프리스(www.kipris.com)에서 10년간(2012-2021) 가상현실-스포츠 특허문서 572건을 수집하였다. 수집된 원문데이터는 텍스트 마이닝을 통한 주요 단어추출, 불용어 및 비기술키워드 삭제 그리고 동일의미 다른표기 등 전처리 과정을 수행한 후 LDA기반 토픽모델링, 시각화를 위한 소셜 네트워크 분석 그리고 시계열 휘귀계수를 활용한 추세분석을 실시하였다. 결과 분석결과 총15개의 토픽이 도출되었으며 가상환경의 골프, 야구, 겨울스포츠 그리고 라이딩 스포츠부터 HMD, 가상현실 중계, 가상훈련 및 재활, 가상시스템의 생체인식과 신호 전달 등으로 구분되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 전 시기에 걸쳐 건재한 스크린 골프 관련 특허기술의 지속적 발전가능성과 겨울스포츠, 중계서비스, 신호전달, 가상훈련 등의 밝은 전망 등이 확인되었다. 결론 쇠퇴기술이 명확히 드러나지 않은 스포츠-가상현실 특허기술의 본 연구의 범위인 2012년 전후로 본격적인 개발에 착수하였기 때문이다. 대부분의 특허 클러스터는 내리막을 걷기에는 아직 10년이 채 되지 않은 신생영역이 대부분이다. 미시적인 측면의 기술적 활성화와 그 전망이 명확히 드러나지 않는 상황 등은 그 자체가 결과가 아닌 미래의 밝은 전망을 극대화하는 기술전략 수립 및 공백기술로써 재도약을 모두를 위한 근거자료이자 터닝포인트의 가치가 있다.
Abstract
Purpose The convergence of sports and virtual reality can be a new turning point for sports participation and business in a new way. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to derive the trend of technology and current promising fields by proceeding with sports-virtual reality patent topic modeling and trend analysis. Methods For domestic sports-virtual reality patent collection, 572 virtual reality-sports patent documents were collected from KIPRIS(www.kipris.com), a domestic patent portal operated by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, for 10 years (2012-2021). The collected original text data undergoes preprocessing and then LDA-based topic modeling, social network analysis for visualization, and trends using time series rarefaction coefficients. analysis was performed. Result As a result of the analysis, a total of 15 topics were derived, and they were classified from golf, baseball, winter sports, and riding sports in virtual environments to HMD, virtual reality relay, virtual training and rehabilitation, and biometrics and signal transmission of virtual systems. Through these results, the possibility of continuous development of screen golf-related patent technologies that have been in good standing throughout the period and the bright prospects of winter sports, broardcasting, signal transmission, and virtual training were confirmed. Conclusion Most of the patent clusters are young areas that are less than 10 years old to go downhill. Technological activation in the microscopic aspect and the situation where its prospects are not clearly revealed are not results in themselves, but the value of a turning point and the basis for establishing a technological strategy that maximizes the bright prospects of the future and making a new leap forward as a blank technology.
