본 연구는 기혼여성의 근로시간에 대한 만족도가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄에 있어서 남편의 가사노동분담에 대한 역할 기대나 만족에 따라 결혼만족도가 달라지며 또 남편의 가사노동분담이 근로시간과 결혼만족의 관계에서 조절효과를 수행하는가에 대한 검증을 목적으로 하였다. 「여성가족패널(KLoWF)」8차년도 패널조사자료를 활용한 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 근로시간 만족도는 결혼만족도에 정(+)적인 영향 관계가 있음을 확인함으로써 기혼여성의 근로시간은결혼만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남편의 가사노동분담은 결혼만족도에 영향을 주지 않았으며, 맞벌이 기혼여성의 근로시간과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 남편의 가사노동분담은 조절 역할을 수행하는가에 대한 연구 질문은 지지되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고, 남편의 성역할 태도는 여성의 근로시간과 가사노동분담 모두와 연관성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 남편의 가사노동분담이 조절변인으로서의 효과를 만들어내지 못한 것에 대한추론과 함께 후속 연구의 필요성과 방향을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of split household chores on the relationship between satisfaction with working hours and marital satisfaction amongmarried working women. For this, data originated fromthe 8th wave of Korean Longitudinal Survey ofWomen and Families and was analyzed. The results of this study were as following: First, satisfaction with working hours of married working woman, which remained statistically significant, influenced tomarital satisfaction. Second, the split of household chores did not contribute tomarital satisfaction, norwere there anymoderating effects between the satisfaction of working hours and marital satisfaction. Further, husband’s gender role attitude did not show any influence on the satisfaction with working hours and split of household chores fairly. Based on these results, the reason why there was no moderating effect of split of household chores was discussed, and the necessity and direction of further researchwere suggested.
