스타트업 창업자의 핵심역량과 기업의 경쟁력이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 개방형 혁신성의 조절 효과를 중심으로
A Study on the Impact of the Core Competencies of the Start-up Founder and the Company’s Competitiveness on Business Performance: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Open Innovation

본 연구는 스타트업의 경영성과, 창업자의 핵심역량, 기업의 경쟁력 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하고, 이들 변수간의 관계에서 기업의 경쟁력과 개방형 혁신성이 어떠한 역할을 하는지 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구는 스타트업 창업자453명의 자료를 바탕으로 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는다음과 같다. 첫째, 스타트업 창업자의 핵심역량인 창업전문역량, 자금조달역량, 도전정신, 위험감수성 모두 경영성과에유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스타트업 창업자의 핵심역량인 창업전문역량, 자금조달역량, 도전정신, 위험감수성 모두 기업의 경쟁력에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스타트업 기업의 경쟁력은 경영성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 스타트업 창업자의 핵심역량인 창업전문역량, 자금조달역량, 도전정신, 위험감수성 모두와 경영성과의 관계에서 기업의 경쟁력은 유의한 매개효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 다섯째, 스타트업 창업자의 핵심역량, 스타트업 기업의 경쟁력, 경영성과의 관계에서 개방형 혁신성은 부분적으로 조절효과가 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 정부가 추진하는 창업활성화를 위한 다양한 정책, 창업보육을 위한 프로그램지원과 병행하여 창업자의 핵심역량을 강화하기 위한 체계적 교육과 정책을 늘리는 것이 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship between the core competencies of start-up founders and business performance, competitiveness, and the role of open innovation. The data of 453 start-ups were analyzed. The following core competencies of start-up founders had a positive impact on business performances; start-up expertise, fundraising, a challenging spirit, and risk sensitivity. These four core competencies had a positive impact on company competitiveness. Furthermore, start-up company competitiveness had a positive impact on business performance. Company competitiveness had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between core competencies of founders and business performance, and open innovation had a partial moderating effect on relationships between founder core competencies, start-up company competitiveness, and business performance.
