메타버스 플랫폼에서 저작권 보호에 관한 소고

While the technology and industry related to metaverse is growing rapidly, the legal system governing the metaverse is not yet complete, so it is not clear how to resolve legal disputes in the event of a legal dispute. In particular, in terms of copyright law, various legal issues can arise in the metaverse. Specifically, from the viewpoint of determining whether copyright infringement occurs, the extent to which copyright infringement can be recognized if objects, landscapes, structures, art, photographs, and places exist in the virtual world of metaverse, and if choreographic works are implemented on metaverse, copyright infringement exemptions can be recognized. These issues are already being studied in academia and there are court judgments such as golf zone cases, but the criteria for judging copyright infringement issued by metaverse spaces have not been clearly established, and there are no actual disputes in the case of jurisdiction and governing law and metaverse platform responsibility for infringement. Therefore, reducing social confusion over copyright infringement disputes arising in the metaverse and providing accurate guidelines for the development of metaverse-related industries and the creation of digital asset copyrighted works will be an important topic in society, culture, and economy. For this reason, by studying the copyright protection system of literary and artistic works required in the metaverse environment, we will examine copyright protection measures in metaverse according to the need to reduce unnecessary legal disputes by preventing copyright infringement.
