본 연구는 한부모의 주택임차 시 차별경험과 주거환경이 한부모의 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 실시하였다. 2018년 한부모가족 실태조사 데이터 중 2,223명의 자료를 활용하여 기술통계와 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 한부모의 16%가 우울장애 증상을 경험하고 있으며, 주된 우울증상으로는 피곤감과 기력저하, 우울감 또는 절망감, 수면의 질 저하 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 건강이 좋지 않을수록, 연령이 낮을수록 우울증상을 더 높게 호소하였고, 취업상태인 한부모보다 미취업 상태인 한부모가 더 심각한 우울증상을 가진 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 주택임차 시 차별 경험과 직접적인 생활공간인 주거의 내부환경이 한부모의 우울에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 한부모가족을 다양한 가족형태의 하나로 받아들이고 이해하고 존중할 수 있도록 인식개선을 위한 홍보와 지원을 제안하였고, 자녀를 양육하는데 불편함이 없도록 주거 공급면적을 상향하고 열악한 주거환경을 개선하여 제공할 것을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study examined the effect of Discrimination Experience in Housing Lease and residential satisfaction on depression among single parents. Multiple regression analysis was utilized to analyze data of 2,223 people who responded to a single parent survey collected by the Korea Women's Policy Institute in 2018. As results, first, 16% of single parents showed symptoms of depression. Second, health status, age, and employment status were found to affect single-parent depression. Lastly, it was found that the discrimination experience in housing lease and the internal environment of housing, which is a direct living space, had an effect on the depression among single parents. Based on the results of the study, implications were suggested in order to reduce discrimination and to improve residential satisfaction among single parent families.
