토픽모델링을 이용한 기독교 연구 동향 분석

초록
본 연구는 토픽모델링 분석을 이용하여 기독교 연구 분야의 연구 논문을 체계적으로 분석하여 연구주제 및 연구동향을 파악하는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구에서는 분석할 데이터를 Web of Science 데이터베이스에서 “christianity”를 기본검색어로 설정하고, 1991년부터 2022년(5월 12일 현재)까지 발표한 8,190편의 기독교 관련 논문의 데이터를 확보하였다. 본 연구에서는 R 프로그램을 이용으로 토픽모델링 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구에서는 약 22년간 기독교 연구의 주요 연구분야, 주요 저널, 국가별 분포 등 전반적인 기독교 관련 연구동향에 대해 살펴보았다. 둘째, 토픽모델링 분석 결과, 신교도, 다양한 종교, 아시아 연구, 심리학과 건강, 철학, 유대교와 성서, 사회과학, 선교신학, 인류학, 문학, 중세 르네상스 등 11개의 토픽으로 분석되었다. 기독교 연구에서 주요 키워드 및 토픽들과 관련된 연구들을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 기독교 관련 연구의 동향을 전반적으로 파악할 뿐만 아니라, 향후 기독교 연구에 대한 통찰력과 발전하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study is to identify research topics and research trends by systematically analyzing research papers in the field of Christian studies using topic modeling analysis. In this study, “christianity” was set as the basic search word for the data to be analyzed in the Web of Science database, and data from 8,190 Christian-related papers published from 1991 to 2022 (as of May 12) were obtained. In this study, topic modeling analysis was performed using the R program. The analysis results of this study are as follows. First, this study looked at the overall Christian research trends, such as major research fields, major journals, and distribution by country for about 22 years. Second, as a result of topic modeling analysis, 11 topics were analyzed, including Protestantism, various religions, Asian studies, psychology and health, philosophy, Judaism and the Bible, social sciences, mission theology, anthropology, literature, and medieval Renaissance. Studies related to major keywords and topics in Christian studies were reviewed. It is expected that the results of this study will not only understand the trends of Christian-related research in general, but will also be helpful for insight and development of Christian research in the future.
