판데믹 충격이 연구협업 네트워크와 연구성과에 미친 영향

While significant studies have addressed the relationship between research collaboration and performance network, the resilience of research performance in response to the exogenous impact derived from the collaboration network has not received the due attention it deserves. This study explores the impact of corona pandemic to the research collaboration pattern and the volatility of the research performance networks. This research categorize three patterns of collaboration (active in-person group, paper-based collaboration group and balanced group) from a national research institution . The impact of the corona is measured by examining the network similarity index (DeltaCon) between the pre- and post-corona pandemic in 2020. The comparison demonstrates that small number of dominant groups collaborate with more narrow groups increasing the clustering index. It also implies that the balanced type of collaboration is more resilient to the impact, emphasizing the importance of complimentary research strategy between human-based and paper-based collaboration. This study contributes to the research strategy streams by revealing the core mechanism of research collaboration.
