한·중·일 지속가능한 디자인 공모전 수상작의 융합 디자인 재료에 관한 연구

This study starts with the examination of the design materials utilized in the award-winning works of Seoul Design Awards, China Eco Design Awards, and Japan SDGs International Awards. And the purpose of this study is to rethink the complexity of materials through the winning works of the collection exhibition with concept of sustainable development and to explore more possibilities of using method of materials. Therefore, this paper conduct evaluation analysis through C2C(Cradle to Cradle) and Nature Inspired Design as evaluation indicators. The findings and contents are as follows. First, it is obvious that minimizing the influence on the environment and the efficient use of resources is the most concern of award-winning works. Design should take into account no longer only the material needs of human beings, but also the impact of the environment. Second, some of the winning entries made spaces with local residents using waste materials as a medium. There are winning entries that improve the environment through plants and use natural wood materials. Composite steel materials are also mostly chosen in many of the works. Third, the designers consider to integrate new technologies into common materials of life. Various design solutions will bring different values to a sustainable society. These findings suggest a shift from material-based expectation to small actions and perceptions and the promotion of stable, equitable and harmonious sustainable society through “people and people” and “people and material”.
