사이버범죄의 주요 세 요인들의 작용과 친불법적 문화환경의 조절효과

본 연구에서는 사이버범죄의 주요 원인으로 낮은 자기통제력, 사이버범죄용인태도, 그리고 사이버범죄기회 세 요인을 제시하고 이 세 요인이 사이버범죄의 주요 원인으로 작용하는지를 살펴보았다. 아울러 이 연구에서는 친불법적 사이버문화환경이 사이버범죄에 영향을 줄 것이라고 보면서 무엇보다 그러한 친불법적 사이버문화환경은 조절변인이 되어 낮은 자기통제력, 사이버범죄용인태도, 그리고 사이버범죄기회 세 요인과 함께 작동할 것이라고 보아, 세 요인이 친불법적 사이버문화환경과 상호작용효과를 가질 것으로 예측했고 이를 검증하고자 했다. 서울시 대학생 대상의 조사자료를 통해 스마트폰 이용상의 사이버범죄의 설명요인을 분석한 결과 본 연구의 주요 세 변인으로 낮은 자기통제력, 사이버범죄용인태도, 그리고 사이버범죄기회 모두가 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 자기통제력이 낮을수록, 사이버범죄를 용인하는 태도를 가질수록, 사이버범죄기회가 많을수록 사이버범죄를 더 저지른다는 것을 제시했다. 그리고 그 중에서도 사이버범죄용인태도의 영향력이 가장 컸고, 그 다음으로 사이버범죄기회, 그리고 낮은 자기통제력이 그 다음으로 유의미한 것을 제시했다. 그리고 낮은 자기통제력, 사이버범죄용인태도, 그리고 사이버범죄기회는 친불법적 사이버문화 조절변인과 모두 유의미한 상호작용효과를 갖는 것을 제시했다. 즉 이 결과는 낮은 자기통제력, 사이버범죄용인태도, 그리고 사이버범죄기회는 독립적으로도 사이버범죄에 영향을 갖지만 친불법적 사이버문화의 환경에서 사이버범죄에 더 작용한다는 것을 제시하였다. 그 중에서도 사이버범죄용인태도와 친불법적 사이버문화와의 상호작용효과가 가장 높게 나타났고, 그 다음이 사이버범죄기회, 그리고 낮은 자기통제력과 친불법적 사이버문화와의 상호작용효과 순으로 유의미한 것을 제시했다.
Abstract
This study suggests three major causal factors such as low self-control, attitude toward cybercrime, and opportunity of cyber crime in explaining cybercrime and examines those effects on cybercrime. In addition, this study focuses on the effect of pro-cybercrime culture on cybercrime and tests its moderating interaction effects between each low self-control, attitude toward cybercrime, and opportunity of cyber crime and cybercrime. Using data from college students in Seoul, results show that low self-control, attitude toward cybercrime, and opportunity of cyber crime have significant effects on cybercrime. It is shown that the effect of attitude toward cybercrime among them is strongest and the effect of opportunity is next. Furthermore, consistent with my hypotheses, it is revealed that all moderating interaction effects beween each low self-control, attitude toward cybercrime, and opportunity of cyber crime and cybercrime. And the interaction effect between attitude toward cybercrime and pro-cybercrime culture on cybercrime is strongest. They implies that low self-control, attitude toward cybercrime, and opportunity have more significant effects on cybercrime when pro-cybercrime culture is high.
