물고기를 모티브로 한 크리에이티브･헤어바이나이트 디자인 연구: 구피를 중심으로

The advent of the 4th industrial revolution era put more emphasis on capabilities such as creativity, emotional intelligence, and flexible convergent thinking as future core competencies. All the fields within our society are trying to come up with alternatives to proactively respond to the changes that the 4th industrial revolution brought; it is necessary as well for beauty artists to proactively prepare in response to the era of the 4th industrial revolution, to lead a prosperous and stable life. For the abovementioned, the importance of beauty art activities, which can help cultivate creative artistic sensibility that artificial intelligence does not acquire, will be strengthened. Creative and hair-by-night design is one of the top-level beauty art activities; is a sphere within hair designs where creativity, convergent design sensibility, and sophisticated hand techniques can be obtained while converting a myriad of natural forms into creative creations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop creative and new creative and hair-by-night style designs by motifing Goofy, a type of fish with colorful formative properties among natural forms. A fixed-gene guppy with a crown-shaped tail, as well as a mixed-gene guppy with colorful color bands and irregular black spots on the caudal fin, was employed as a motif; using the motif, 4 works in total were designed by composing creative and hair-by-night works in a connected set. The results of the study showed the following: guppy, which has more unique formative elements, such as in tail fin, body color, pattern, shape, and silhouette, etc., than ordinary fish, is greatly useful in terms of provision of artistic sources for creative and hair-by-night designs. Combined with guppies’ various design elements, the design scope of creative and hair-by-night works is expected to be expanded infinitely. Such an expansion will help beauty artists look at matters with a non-fixed and open perspective; in addition, it will provide opportunities for the artists to grow as creative designers fit for the era of artificial intelligence. It is hoped that future studies focusing on the formative characteristics of fish other than guppy will be actively carried out in the future so that they can shed new light on the artistic values of fish with a myriad of methods.
