서울시 기록물을 활용한 관광정책 분석: 텍스트 네트워크 분석 기법을 적용하여
An Analysis of Tourism Policy Using Seoul Metropolitan Archives: Applying Text Network Analysis Techniques

초록
아카이브 자료를 활용한 연구가 최근 증가하고 있지만, 관광분야에서 아카이브 자료를 활용한연구는 드물다. 본 연구는 서울기록원에 소장된 서울특별시의 시정기록물 중에서 1961년부터 2015년까지생산된 관광과 관련된 기록물의 자료 619개를 텍스트 네트워크 분석 기법을 적용하여 분석했다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 밀도 분석 결과, 텍스트 네트워크 내 텍스트 간의 연결 형태는 특정 텍스트에 집중적으로 연결된 형태로 나타났다. 둘째, 위세 중심성 분석 결과, 교통영향평가 단어가 가장 큰 위세 중심성지수를 가지는 것으로 나타나 서울시 관광 정책에 있어 교통이 큰 비중으로 고려된 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 텍스트 네트워크 내 텍스트의 동시 출현 유형을 분석한 결과, 잠실롯데는 다수의 단어들과 연결 관계를맺고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, CONCOR 분석 결과, 텍스트 네트워크 내 관광개발(인프라)과 관련한텍스트로 구성된 군집, 관광에 관련한 정보, 안내, 환전 등의 서비스에 관련한 군집, 그리고 관광과 연관이있은 세금, 도시계획, 특구 개발 등으로 구성된 군집 등 3개의 군집이 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 학문적 시사점과 실무적 시사점을 결론에 자세하게 제시하였으며, 향후 연구 방향 또한 제안하였다.
Abstract
Archives, such as public documents, has been widely used by researchers. However, little tourism research was conducted by using archives. This study analyzes public documents related to tourism policies, conducted by Seoul Metropolitan Government from 1961 to 2015. A total of 619 pieces of documentation, obtained from Seoul Metropolitan Archives, were analyzed using some text network analysis techniques. Analysis results refer that i) the connection patterns between texts highly concentrated into a few particular texts; ii) transportation impact assessment was the central text in the tourism policy network based on the result of betweenness centrality measures, indicating transportation-related policies might be a crucial consideration when planning tourism in a destination; iii) Jamsil-Lotte was identified as the key text, which highly connected with the rest of texts within the network based on the result of CONCOR analysis; and iv) tourism policy of Seoul Metropolitan Government was distinguished into 3 groups. These 3 groups are tourism development (e.g., infrastructure development), services (e.g., tourism information, currency exchange), and tax related issues. This study demonstrates the ways to analyze archive data. Implications of this study are discussed in conclusion, along with suggestions for future research.
