국내 금융 그룹의 ESG 경영현황과 발전 방향

In recent years, discussions on ESG management and the role of ESG in the financial market have been intensifying like a craze. In particular, in Korea, the long history of financial markets such as in Europe and the United States has not progressed, so on the other hand, the market and its participating companies are experiencing difficulties. It could lead to a major shift in capitalism or the emergence of the new term ‘ESG-nomics’ and reorganization of management activities and growth, and most advertising phrases claim that ESG is a ‘must, not an option.’ In another aspect, it can be seen that the concept of 'comprehensive wealth' was introduced to the concept of wealth measure or GDP. This study attempted to present the impact of ESG management and judgment on the domestic financial market and domestic financial groups, and to present the management status and development direction of domestic financial groups at this point, and to come up with recommendations for 'sustainable management' in terms of global standards. When defining ESG in one word, I would like to say 'Sustainability'. This suggests the probability that the justification for ESG may be exaggerated than it actually is. In other words, it also points out the question of whether ESG can guarantee “improving corporate value” and "long-term management performance" beyond what is called good work and social responsibility. Therefore, ESG management requires a mid- to long-term strategy to try to approach the essence and find a point of contact with finance while facing such risks.
