반 고흐의 기억이 새겨진 오베르 쉬르 우아즈 장소성 순례: 문화여과장치로서 환기를 중심으로

오늘날 전시사회의 분위기에서 일상의 위험은 현대인의 삶을 위협하고 있다. 일상의 폭력이 지배하는 분위기는 현대인의 사회적 관계에서 갈등과 대립, 불화와 배신, 경직과 혐오 등의 감각파장을 더욱 증폭하고 있다. 이러한 위기의 시점에서 현대인은 반 고흐의 마지막 여정인 오베르 쉬르 우아즈 마을을 순례하며 일상의 폭력으로부터 관조와 사랑의 힘을 지속적으로 고양할 수 있다. 이 논문은 이제까지 기존의 연구들이 지나치게 반 고흐의 천재적 광기와 신화에 주목함으로써 간과되는 명증한 의식으로 지속되는 혁신적 예술가의 창조과정 즉 사회적 외면의 박해와 고난에도 불구하고 인류를 향한 사랑과 깊은 무의식의 치유를 향한 창조의 힘에 주목하며, 오베르 쉬르 우아즈의 장소성의 순례여정을 드러내고자 한다. 폭력의 시대에 오베르 쉬르 우아즈는 현대인에게 안온한 보호처로서 시간의 향기에 감싸이는 미학적 분위기를 조형하고 있다. 오베르 쉬르 우아즈의 특별한 기억의 장소성은 반고흐의 숭고한 예술혼에서 발현하는 숭고함의 감동으로 자기만의 길에서 감내해야만 하는 어려운 난관과 좌절, 사회적 외면과 고초, 세속적 유혹과 안위, 배신과 대상화되는 시선 등에 휘둘리지 않고 굳건히 지향세계를 추구하게 한다. 오베르 쉬르 우아즈의 리츄얼 순례는 현대인에게 일상의 폭력으로부터 애상의 기억으로서, 아픔의 공감력으로, 시간의 향기로서, 아름다움의 구원으로서, 그리움의 미학으로, 자신의 생애를 예술 작품화하는 실존의 미학으로 초대할 수 있다. 이러할 때 포스트 모던 시대에서 반 고흐의 기억이 새겨진 오베르 쉬르 우아즈의 장소성은 폭력의 분위기로부터 애상의 기억과 아픔의 공감력으로 지속적으로 환기하고 소멸하는 문화여과장치로서 정화와 고양의 감각파장으로 가동하며 폭력의 분위기를 소멸하고 전환할 수 있다.
Abstract
The ordinary risks in the exhibition society atmosphere at present have been threatening the life of people in these days. The atmosphere that daily violence is dominant is aggravating the emotional wavelength in the social relation of people living in this world including conflict and confrontation, discord and betrayal and stiffness and disgust. At this time of such risks, people can keep elevating the power of love and meditation against daily violence as making a pilgrimage to Auvers-sur-oise village, the last itinerary of Van Gogh. This study attempted to present the pilgrimage itinerary of Auvers-sur-oise as taking notice of the power of creation for the healing of deep unconsciousness and love toward human beings in spite of oppression and hardship of social negligence, that is, the creation process of the innovative artist persisting with the accurate consciousness dismissed by existing researches because of excessive focus on ingenious lunacy and myth of Van Gogh. Placeness of special memory of Auvers-sur-oise made firmly seeking after the world to pursue without being swayed by excessive hardship, frustration, social negligence and difficulty, secular temptation and safety, betryal and objectified views which should be endured in the own way with the impression of sublimity expressed from lofty artistic spirit of Van Gogh. Ritual pilgrimage to Auvers-sur-oise invites people to the aesthetics of existence that makes a life an artwork as the memory of sorrow from everyday violence, sympathy of pain, scent of time, the salvation of beauty and the aesthetics of longing. Accordingly, the placeness of Auvers-sur-oise where memory of Van Gogh is engraved in the post-modern era can dissipate and convert mood of violence by acting as the emotional wavelength of purification and elevation as the cultural filter continuously evoking and extinguishing the mood of violence through the sympathy of pain and memory of sorrow.
