A Study on the Global Logistics Crisis and The Response Strategies of Domestic Companies

Purpose : The global economy is contracting due to the global supply chain crisis. The purpose of this study is to suggest strategic countermeasures on how domestic companies should respond to global supply chain crises. Research design, data, methodology : This study presented the concept of the global supply chain crisis, presented the cause and current situation, and identified research trends through previous studies. As for the research method, prior studies and policies of each country were reviewed in literature, problems were identified, and countermeasures were presented. Results : The global supply chain crisis was caused by high logistics cost, lack of port workers, Russia-Ukraine war, and global supply chain variables. As solutions, supply chain elasticity improvement, global hub and Tri-Port strategy, automation and digitalization implementation, global logistics collaboration Strengthening, supply chain support policies, and sustainable supply chain establishment were suggested. Conclusions : This study recognizes the global supply chain crisis as a phenomenon that determines the competitiveness of each country, and presents world-class endemic, free movement of foreign workers, restoration of multilateral trade structure, etc. in an effort to solve the problem. An early cessation of the war in Ukraine was also presented as an important variable. In addition, it was suggested that the government's active response strategy establishment is a key strategy for stabilizing the global logistics system.
