외식 프랜차이즈의 물류지원 효과가 가맹점 만족과 성과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 국내에서 영업 중인 치킨 프랜차이즈 가맹점을 대상으로 가맹본부가 제공하는 다양한 물류지원이 가맹점의 만족과 성과에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 이를 통해 프랜차이즈 가맹본부의 물류지원 중 효과적인 물류 지원 항목을 파악하고 가맹점의 만족을 통해 경영성과와 비경영성과를 높일 방안을 제시하고자 계획하였다. 이에 따라, 치킨 프랜차이즈 가맹점을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하여 총 335부를 확보하였고, 이를 분석하여 연구가설을 검증하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 외식 프랜차이즈 가맹점주의 일반적인 현황을 파악하였고, 둘째, 가맹점주의 인식에 대해 요인분석을 진행하여 총 7 개의 요인을 추출하였다(물류지원: 신속성, 효율성, 안전성, 정확성; 만족; 성과: 경영성과, 비경영성과). 셋째, 7개의 요인을 대상으로 회귀분석을 진행하여 가설을 검증하였다. 물류지원에 대한 4가지 요인은 가맹점의 만족과 성과(경영성과, 비경영성과)에영향을 미치며, 물류지원을 통해 얻은 만족도 가맹점의 성과(경영성과, 비경영성과)로 연결되는 것으로 나타났다. 가맹본부의물류지원 중 가맹점은 신속성, 효율성, 안전성을 주요한 요인으로 채택하였다. 특히, 선행연구와 차별적으로 안전성이 선택되었다는 점은 외식 프랜차이즈에게 중요한 요인이다. 원활한 물류지원을 통해 가맹점은 만족도를 높일 수 있고, 성과를 향상시킬수 있다. 특히, 가맹점은 영업을 진행하면서 가맹본부로부터 다양한 운영 지원을 받지만, 그 중에서 가장 많은 비중을 차지하는것은 원활한 영업을 위한 물류지원이다. 그리고 본 연구를 통해 가맹본부의 물류지원이 가맹점의 만족과 성과에 기여한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구를 통해 가맹본부는 물류지원의 중요성을 파악하고 가맹점의 만족과 성과를 높이기 위한효과적인 물류 지원시스템과 운영 전략을 수립해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study measures the effect of various logistics support from a franchisor to franchisees on franchisees' satisfaction and performance in the context of chicken franchise companies in South Korea. With this research objective, this study aims to identify the effective items of franchisors' logistics support and present the measures to increase franchisees' managerial and non-managerial performances through their satisfaction with franchisors. Three hundred thirty-five copies secured from a survey targeting the outlets of chicken restaurant franchises were used to examine the research hypotheses. The statistical analysis derives the following findings. First, the investigation of this study provides an understanding of the general characteristics of restaurant franchisees. Second, a factor analysis of this study identified seven factors: promptness, efficiency, safety, and accuracy for logistics support as well as satisfaction, and managerial and non-managerial performances. Third, a regression analysis was performed with the seven factors and found that the four factors of logistics support significantly and positively influence franchisees' satisfaction, leading to their performance. Franchisees selected promptness, efficiency, and safety as the significant factors among the four dimensions of the franchisor's logistics support. In particular, the result that restaurant franchisees selected safety as a crucial factor is a distinct finding from prior studies. Through smooth logistics support, franchisees can increase satisfaction and improve their performance. In particular, franchisees receive various operational support from their franchisors while conducting business. Logistics is the most crucial among franchisor's operational support for franchisees' smooth operation. This study found that the franchisor's logistics support contributes to the franchisee's satisfaction and performance. Through this study, franchisors should understand the importance of logistics support and establish an effective system for logistics support to their franchisees as well as an operational strategy to increase franchisees' satisfaction and performance.
