The purpose of this system is to protect Children and youth from sex crimes by notifying certain residents of the personal information of sex offenders through mail. Therefore, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family sends Sex Offender Notification to those subject to the law when sex offenders who have been ordered to disclose and notify personal information move to or relocate to a certain area. However, the Sex Offender Notification is sent only when there is a change in the residential area of the sex offender, and no separate preventive measures are taken thereafter. It only serves to inform that sex offenders live nearby. There may be citizens who do not want to know information, but in the current Sex Offender Notification System, if you are the recipient of the Sex Offender Notification, you must receive the Sex Offender Notification regardless of your intention. I wanted to discuss the means of the Sex Offender Notification System. In this article, I tried to focus on reminding that there are citizens who do not want to receive a Sex Offender Notification among the recipients of the Sex Offender Notification System, rather than directly suggesting an improvement plan for the means of The Sex Offender Notification System.
