파리컬렉션에 나타난 메이크업 색채표현 분석: 2023 F/W를 중심으로

본 연구는 2023 F/W 파리컬렉션에 나타난 메이크업의 색채표현을 분석하고 이미지를 도출해냄으로써 최신 패션 메이크업 색채 트렌드를 파악하고자 한다. 연구 범위는 2023 F/W 시즌으로 설정하였고, 조사 기간은 2023.02.28.부터 2023.03.14.까지이며 자료 수집은 2023 F/W 시즌 Vogue runway에 HIGHLIGHTS로 게재된 30개의 브랜드 중 메이크업 요소가 잘 드러난 브랜드 5개를 선정해 컬렉션 이미지를 추출하였다. 추출된 총 269장의 이미지 중 색채 및 메이크업을 전공한 박사 3인으로 구성된 전문가 집단에 의한 2차 선별 작업을 통해 브랜드별 5장씩 최종 25장 선정하였다. 메이크업 색채 분석은 포인트 색상이 되는 부분인 아이, 블러셔, 립을 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로는 Adobe Photoshop의 eyedropper tool을 사용해 색을 추출한 후, Munsell Conversion을 통해 H V/C값으로 변환하여 색채를 분석하고, I.R.I 배색 이미지 및 형용사 이미지 스케일을 기준으로 이미지를 분류하였다. 색상 및 색조 표기는 먼셀 색체계의 10색상(R, YR, Y, GY, G, BG, B, PB, P, RP)과 무채색(N), PCCS 색조 체계 유채색 12색조(v, b, s, sf, p, ltg, g, lt, d, dp, dkg, dk)와 무채색(W, Bk)을 활용하였다. 이미지 유형은 선행연구에 따라 네추럴, 로맨틱, 유머러스, 캐주얼, 오리엔탈리즘, 맥시멀리즘, 레트로, 액티브, 모던, 그로테스크 10가지를 활용하였다. 색채 분석 결과 아이 메이크업에는 YR(g)과 YR(dkg)가, 블러셔에는 YR(g)와 YR(ltg)가, 립메이크업에는 R(sf)가 가장 많이 나타났다. 전반적으로 스모키 메이크업 및 해체주의적 요소들이 나타났음을 알 수 있었다. 이미지 분석 결과 브랜드 Sacai, Valentino, Y Project, Chanel은 레트로 이미지로, Junya Watanabe는 오리엔탈리즘 이미지로 분류되었다. 종합적 분석 결과 2023 F/W 파리컬렉션에는 90년대의 해체주의 메이크업을 점잖고 우아한 느낌으로 재해석한 레트로 이미지가 강하게 나타났다고 해석되었다. 이를 통해 현시점의 트렌드를 깊이 있게 확인할 수 있었고, 향후 패션 메이크업 색채 트렌드 예측 및 창의적인 쇼 메이크업디자인에 활용되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims to identify the latest fashion makeup color trends by analyzing the color expression of makeup shown in the 2023 F/W Paris Collection and deriving images. The scope of the study was set for the 2023 F/W season, and the survey period was from 2023.02.28. to 2023.03.14, and data collection was extracted by selecting five brands with well-exposed makeup elements among the 30 brands published as HIGHLIGHTS on the 2023 F/W season Vogue runway. Among the 269 images extracted, the final 25 images were selected, five for each brand, through the second screening by a group of experts composed of three doctors majoring in color and makeup. The makeup color analysis was analyzed focusing on the eyes, blushers, and lips, which are the point colors. As a research method, colors were extracted using Adobe Photoshop's eyedropper tool, converted into HV/C values through Munsell Conversion to analyze colors, and images were classified based on I.R.I. color image and adjective image scales. For color and color notation, 10 colors(R, YR, Y, GY, G, BG, B, PB, P, RP) and achromatic color(N) of the Munsell color system, 12 tones (v, b, s, sf, p, ltg, g, lt, d, dp, dkg, dk), and achromatic colors(W, B) of the PCCS were used. As for image types, 10 types of natural, romantic, humorous, casual, orientalism, maximalism, retro, active, modern, and grotesque were used according to previous studies. As a result of color analysis, YR(g) and YR(dkg) were the most common for eye makeup, YR(g) and YR(ltg) for blusher, and R(sf) for lip makeup. Overall, it can be seen that smokey makeup and dismantling elements appeared. As a result of image analysis, brands Sacai, Valentino, Y Project, and Chanel were classified as retro images, and Junya Watanabe was classified as orientalist images. As a result of the comprehensive analysis, it was interpreted that the 2023 F/W Paris Collection had a strong retro image that reinterpreted the deconstructive makeup of the 90s with a decent and elegant feeling. Through this, the current trend could be confirmed in depth, and it is expected to be used in predicting future fashion makeup color trends and creative show makeup design.
