여가 참여시간과 여가활동 몰입, 반추가 여가생활 만족에 미치는 영향: 여가스포츠 활동에 대한 열정의 차이를 중심으로

This study examines the relationship between time engagement, flow, and rumination in leisure activities with consumer’s leisure life satisfaction, and how the relationship has differences depending on the two types of passion. The study confirmed the effect of time engagement on flow in leisure activity, the relationship between time engagement and flow that differentiates depending on two types of passion (i.e., harmonious passion and obsessive passion), and the effect of flow and rumination on leisure life satisfaction. This study conducted an empirical analysis on 501 consumers who regularly participate in leisure sports activities at least three months and found the following results. First, time engagement increases flow in leisure activities. Second, people with harmonious passion have an inverted U-shaped relationship between time engagement and flow in leisure activity. Third, people with obsessive passion have a positive linear relationship between time engagement and flow in leisure activity. Fourth, flow in leisure activities increases leisure life satisfaction, whereas rumination decreases leisure life satisfaction. This study contributes to understanding the relationship between behavioral leisure engagement and leisure life satisfaction through theoretical and practical interpretations of the above results.
