뮤지컬 <헤드윅>의 미적 특성을 적용한 네일아트 디자인 연구

초록
본 연구는 공연예술 뮤지컬 <헤드윅>에서 모티브를 얻어 네일아트 디자인 작품을 제작하기 위한 것이다. 이를 통해 독창적인 네일아트 디자인 방식을 시도하고자 한다. 현대의 네일아트는 미적 가치를 넘어 예술적 가치를 느낄 수 있게 발전하고 있다. 따라서 예술적 작품성을 추구하는 독창적인 네일아트 디자인 방식 개발이 필요하다. 연구의 과정은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 뮤지컬, 무대분장, 네일아트의 개념과 작품의 역사와 내용을 알아보고 선행연구를 분석한다. 둘째, 전반적인 작품의 배경을 분석하고, 5개의 넘버를 선정하여 분석한다. 셋째, 분석한 내용들을 바탕으로 넘버 별로 5개의 미적 특성을 도출하여 작품을 제작한다. 연구의 결과로 총 5개의 ‘도전적 저항’, ‘유희적 쾌락’, ‘공격적 관능’, ‘열망적 관능’, ‘비정형적 해체’ 미적 특성을 도출하였고, 그에 따른 총 5개의 네일아트 디자인 작품을 제작하였다. 연구를 통해 현대의 트렌드가 뮤지컬 <헤드윅> 속에서도 찾아 볼 수 있다는 것과, 작품 속 미적 특성은 시대적 배경에 의해 하위문화의 미적 특성을 따름을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 독창적인 네일아트 디자인을 위한 새로운 접근 방식을 시도하였고, 폭 넓은 디자인을 제시 할 수 있었다. 이에 따라 공연예술 작품 분석을 통한 미적 특성을 도출 하고, 그에 따른 독창적 네일 아트 디자인의 실질적 사례가 될 것이다. 이로써 후에 네일아트 디자인을 위한 다양한 방향으로 디자인 응용의 기초자료가 될 것을 기대한다.
Abstract
This study is aimed at producing nail art design works with motifs from the performing arts musical <Hedwig>. Through this, we would like to try an original nail art design method. Modern nail art is developing beyond aesthetic value to feel artistic value. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an original nail art design method that pursues artistic workability. The process of research is as follows. First, the concepts of musicals, stage makeup, and nail art, as well as the history and contents of the work, are investigated and prior research is analyzed. Second, the background of the overall work is analyzed, and five numbers are selected and analyzed. Third, based on the analyzed contents, the work is produced by deriving five aesthetic characteristics for each number. As a result of the study, a total of five aesthetic characteristics of "challenging resistance," "playful pleasure," "aggressive sensuality," "enthusiastic sensuality," and "amorphous dismantling" were derived, and a total of five nail art design works were produced accordingly. Research has shown that modern trends can also be found in the musical "Hedwig," and that the aesthetic characteristics in the work follow the aesthetic characteristics of subculture according to the background of the times. Through this study, a new approach for original nail art design was attempted, and a wide design was presented. Accordingly, aesthetic characteristics will be derived through the analysis of performing art works, and it will be a practical example of original nail art design accordingly. This is expected to serve as basic data for design applications in various directions for nail art design in the future.
