초록
본 연구는 감성지능이 자산투자성향에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 감성지능은 네 가지 차원으로 자기인식, 자기조절, 타인인식(혹은 타인감정이해), 대인관계관리로 나눠진다. 재무투자 행동성향은 안정자산 투자성향과 위험자산 투자성향으로 구분되어 질 수 있다. 기존 연구에 따르면 감성지능은 자기효능감, 조직행동, 대인관계에서 효과적인 요인으로 많은 연구에서 검증되었다. 본 연구는 감성지능이 재무행동에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 밝히기 위해서 20대에서 50대를 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시했다. 총 147명이 설문에 참여하였다. 두 변인의 관계를 밝히기 위해서 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 감정지능에서 자기관리와 타인감정이해가 유의미하게 자산투자행동성향에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 자기관리 수준이 높을수록 위험자산 투자비율이 높았으며, 반면에 타인감정이해가 높을수록 안전자산투자성향을 보였다. 즉 자신을 충분히 통제할 수 있다고 생각하는 사람들일수록 위험자산 투자비율이 높은 것으로 해석된다. 또한 타인의 감정이해는 객관적 상황인식과 연관되어 질 수 있으며, 이러한 성향은 안전자산 투자성향과 긍정적인 관계를 갖는 것으로 해석된다. 이러한 연구결과는 재무행동에 감성변인의 효과를 새롭게 조명했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 또한 후속연구를 통해서 감성변인과 실제적인 투자성과와의 연관성을 살펴보고자 한다.
Abstract
This study investigates the influence of emotional intelligence on asset investment tendencies. Emotional intelligence is divided into four dimensions: self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. Financial investment behavior tendencies are divided into stable asset investment and risky asset investment. Emotional intelligence has been found to be an effective factor in self-efficacy, organizational behavior, and interpersonal relationships in many studies. To empirically elucidate the relationship between these two variables, this study conducted an online survey targeting individuals in their 20s to 50s, and a total of 147 responses were collected. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that self-management and empathy had a significant impact on asset investment behavior tendencies. As the level of self-management increased, the proportion of risky asset investment also increased, while higher empathy was associated with a tendency to invest in safe assets. In other words, it is interpreted that the higher the investment ratio of risky assets, the more people think they can control themselves. In addition, the emotional understanding of others can be related to objective situational awareness, and this tendency is interpreted as having a positive relationship with the propensity to invest in safe assets. These findings are significant in that they shed new light on the effect of emotional variables on financial behavior. Through follow-up research, we would like to examine the relationship between emotional variables and actual investment performance.
