‘친환경선박법’에 대한 국내 선박업계의 대응 전략 수립에 관한 연구: SWOT 분석

As IMO (International Maritime Organization) stresses running only eco-ships in the Arctic region to reduce emissions of primary air pollutants, Korean government has established ‘Eco-ship Law’. This research is purposed to draw strategies for domestic ship-building companies to prepare for the law, and to present expected effects and the policy prospect. Domestic ship-building companies in Korea need to hold technology forum with foreign eco-ship building companies to enhance competitiveness of environment friendly equipment and installations of the ships, and to promote investment in the area of research and development for SO strategy. As for WO strategy, joint platform for technology exchange and research and development of the installations of the ships, and set-up of consultative group of the companies, are needed. The drawn ST strategy requires the companies to strengthen relationships with local governments to guarantee and to increase the sales of the eco-ships, and to establish plan to set up fund for technology exchange and development between the companies. For WT strategy, the domestic ship-building companies should prepare cross-sectoral platform to exchange of greenhouse gas reducing technology and to strengthen technology cooperation with the environment friendly installation manufacturers from other industrial sectors, and do their own assessment on implementation of the law before new five-year ‘Eco-ship Law’.
