일본의 크라우드펀딩을 활용한 마을만들기 사업 - 민간도시개발추진기구 (MINTO)의 마을만들기 펀드 지원 사례를 중심으로 -

Purpose: This study aims to analyze Japanese community regeneration project, which utilizes crowdfunding for the renovation of unused facilities such as vacant houses or stores. The goal is to explore the potential of crowdfunding as a new funding source for small-scale community redevelopment projects and to draw implications by examining its usage in community-level initiatives. Method: This study examined the "crowdfunding-based community regeneration fund" promoted by MINTO in Japan to encourage the use of crowdfunding in community redevelopment projects, focusing on the relevant regulations and business structures. By reviewing the regulations through public materials from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism or MINTO and research literature related to crowdfunding, and investigating completed project results, this study analyzed the utilization methods and support details of crowdfunding. Result: Crowdfunding projects that utilize the Japanese community regeneration fund have emerged as a way to overcome the limitations of public support and generate interest in community regeneration among various people, including local residents. Crowdfunding can provide motivation for project planners and allow for the exploration of various community development projects utilizing private funds beyond the limitations of public projects.
