금융규제샌드박스 제도에 관한 고찰

Today, digital innovation is taking over our lives faster than ever before in our lives and the economy. Businesses and research institutes must be able to create and use digital innovation in practice so that they can research, develop and bring new innovative technologies and business models to the market. Furthermore, legislators must, on the one hand, align with which laws and institutions are needed for new technologies, and on the other hand, safeguards in place to take advantage of digital innovation and at the same time effectively counter the risks that may impede innovation or arise. Modern society demands new free space for experimentation and education in the laws and regulations in order to progressively improve knowledge and develop regulations about the causal relationship between innovation and regulation. Regulatory sandbox systems make it possible to test the regulatory framework applicable to a new technology or business model under real-world requirements that are not yet enforced by law or hinder it. Experimental provisions create the necessary legal space and, as a result regulatory sandbox schemes contribute to evidence-based development as regulatory frameworks. Thus, the regulatory sandbox system is used as a driving force for innovative technologies and as another important tool for digital regulatory policy. Regulatory sandbox schemes around the world are becoming increasingly important as venues for innovative technologies, while at the same time helping to understand the rules needed for the digital world of the future. Businesses, governments and research institutes are testing projects involving regulatory sandbox schemes in areas unimaginable a few years ago. This study aims to draw implications by examining the regulatory sandbox system in the UK.
