변이할당분석, 동태적 성장률분석, DEA, BCG Zoo를 이용한 공연예술의 경쟁력과 효율성 분석: 국악, 양악, 연극, 무용

우리나라의 취약한 공연예술시장은 covid-19 쇼크로 크게 위축된 가운데 지역 간 편중이 대단히 심각한 수준이다. 본 연구는 국악공연, 양악공연, 연극공연, 무용공연의 지역 간 격차 발생 요인과 효율성을 밝히는 데 목적을 둔다. 분석은 서울, 강원, 경기/인천, 충청, 전라, 경상, 제주 7개 지역을 대상으로 하며, 공연예술의 변동요인은 변이할당분석을, 지역 간 경쟁력은 공간변이할당분석을, 지역 간 효율성 격차는 자료포락분석을 이용한다. 변이할당분석을 실시하여 경쟁력이 전라 지역의 관객수 증가로 작용하며, 전라는 연극공연에서 서울, 강원, 충청에 대해 경쟁력 우위를, 무용공연에서 경기/인천에 대해 경쟁력 우위에 있으며, 양악공연에서 경기/인천, 충청, 경상에 대해 경쟁력 우위를 보이고, 국악공연에서 서울, 경기/인천, 강원,충청, 경상에 대해 우위를 가짐을 보인다. DEA를 적용하여 전라는 4개 공연예술부문에서 효율성이 가장 낮으며, covid-19의 영향을 가장 크게 받는다는 것과 BCG 분석을 통해 전라 지역이 dogs 영역에 위치하고 있다는 것을 밝힌다.
Abstract
Korea's vulnerable performing arts market has greatly shrunk due to the covid-19 shock, and the regional inequality is very serious. This study hence aims to identify the factors of regional gap and the regional efficiency of traditional music, Western music, theater and dance performing arts markets. We employ the shift-share analysis for the growth in the performing arts, the spatial analysis for competitiveness between regions, and data envelope analysis for regional efficiency. The shift-share analysis shows that the Jeolla has a competitive edge over Seoul, Gangwon, and Chungcheong in theater performing arts, a competitive advantage over Gyeonggi/Incheon in dance performing arts, and an advantage over Gyeonggi/Incheon, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang in Western music performing arts. The spatial analysis shows that for Korean traditional music performing arts, the Jeolla has an advantage over Seoul, Gyeonggi/Incheon, Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang. The DEA also indicates that that Jeolla has the lowest efficiency in the four performing sectors and is most affected by covid-19.
