청소년이 지각한 공정성과 다양성이 직업가치와 이타적 태도에 미치는 영향

Fairness and diversity are considered core values ​​that a democracy pursues. Democratic citizens are expected to strive to make their society a fair and diversity-respecting one as it is normatively right. However, in order to encourage citizens to actively participate in the task, it is necessary to show that fairness and diversity have beneficial effects on their personal and social lives. Based on this notion, the current study analyzed how adolescents’ perception of fairness and diversity of the Korean society affects their work values ​​and altruistic attitudes, drawing on data from the "Study on Changes in Values ​​of Teenagers in Generation Z" conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the logistic regression analysis showed that the fairer or the more diversity-respecting adolescents perceived their society as being, the more they put stress on an achievement-oriented work value rather than comfort-oriented one. Second, the multiple regression analysis identified a positive relationship between adolescents’ perception of fairness and diversity and their altruistic attitude. That is, adolescents who perceive our society as being fairer and more respectful of diversity were found to have more altruistic attitudes. Based on the results, implications and recommendations were suggested.
