Corporate Social Responsibility Program Assessment Index in Korea

This paper addresses the needs for suitable indicators for changes in social responsibility-related corporate internal and external trends. The evaluation of corporate social responsibility has changed rapidly with time, and the importance of social value has expanded further according to the maturity of social responsibility. There is a growing demand for developing an evaluation index that can increase the utility of corporate social responsibility program operations. This paper develops an index that reflects the corporate social responsibility trend in line with the times and develops an index that enhances the simplicity of the evaluation index in order to facilitate its ease of use. Finally, companies that use evaluation indicators increase efficiency in operating CSR programs. This paper examines changes in corporate social responsibility trends, examines how Korean and global social responsibility evaluations have changed, and develops an index of CSR programs.
