비양육부모와의 관계가 이혼 후 초등자녀의 변화에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the relationship with non-custodial parents on the post-divorce changes experienced by children who went through their parents' divorce during elementary school years. The data used for the analysis was derived from the "Single-Parent Family Survey" conducted in 2021. Specifically, the study focused on 400 respondents who provided information regarding the changes experienced by elementary-aged children after their parents' divorce. The relationship with non-custodial parents was measured considering emotional and instrumental dimensions. This measurement included assessing the regularity of contact with non-custodial parents, the provision of child support, and whether they were a source of support when assistance was needed. Post-divorce changes were assessed using responses related to academic performance, interpersonal relationships, and attitudes towards daily life and school. According to the analysis results, the frequency of contact between non-custodial parents and their children did not show a significant impact. However, irregular meetings between non-custodial and custodial parents had a negative effect on the children's changes. The results of the analysis revealed that regular child support payments had a positive impact compared to not providing financial support. Additionally, being perceived as a cooperative relationship capable of providing help had a positive effect on the children's changes. Based on the findings of this study, several implications can be suggested regarding mediation, child support compliance, and cooperative parenting roles.
